  • Doing yoga on YouTube, a video or live stream can be helpful to create ease in the body. But like learning any new skill or practice it is best to have a knowledgeable instructor or coach who can see and interact with you in real time. If you want to elevate your yoga practice having a qualified Yoga instructor who guides you and provides feedback is key. Over the past 2 years Paige’s thoughtful approach and set up has perfected the virtual medium to provide a meaningful experience. These yoga classes are truly interactive. Class sizes are small, and students are encouraged to ask questions for clarification. Students are welcome to login with more than one device and can be asked to practice from a particular angle to allow for personalized guidance. Paige instructs, observes, cues movements, and gives feedback. She uses a number of screens and camera angles so you can see her clearly and she can see you clearly. This personalized approach helps to facilitate a meaningful interaction for your health and wellness. If your current yoga practice is not leading you to a greater sense of ease, or you are new to yoga and want to move in your body with a greater sense of freedom and ease sign up for interactive online, in person classes with Paige at yegtownyoga.ca.

  • Yoga is about moving towards a greater sense of stability and ease within our own mind, body and breath. It is not about looking or posing in a certain way. Everybody is different; we all have different arm lengths, leg lengths, bone sizes, lung capacities, healing times, muscle mass, etc. Our bodies have had very different experiences and have been through a lot whether it has been self inflicted or accidental. It’s ridiculous to think we would all be trying to look and breathe the same way. We are not trying to fit into the same mold or idea. It is about breaking the mold and finding a space free from obstacles in our mind and body. Yoga is freedom and release, strength and courage, love and curiosity, stability, and ease. I hope to help guide practitioners to find this release and strength so that they can comfortably and competently navigate their minds and bodies through life with a sense of curiosity and ease. A life well lived is one where we can take our socks off in the evening, sleep well and put our socks on in the morning being pain free. It’s not about how we look or if we can stand on our heads.

  • “Paige teaches the essence of each asana clearly and comprehensively giving you the chance to grow simply and with ease. You don’t have to be anything special, you certainly don’t need any type of body. I simply arrive online (no matter what mood I am in) and listen, and move. It’s that simple. All I need to bring are my ears, my presence. I have grown like a yogi studying on a mountain top in the Himalayas. For this opportunity I am so grateful.”

Jenny, Mindful Strength & Gentle Yoga

“Yoga with Paige is worth every minute that you spend time with her on your yoga mat. No matter your level, or if you might hesitate because you think you can’t do yoga. That was me four years ago, thinking yoga was too hard for me, “I can’t keep up”, “I will hurt myself” those words are not Paige’s philosophy. Yoga is for your body today and tomorrow, yoga is a life long benefit to keep you moving to perform every day tasks for your mind and body. Paige pays attention to every person in class, by getting to know you and your body, she is attentive to how your body moves and reacts to your every moment, making sure that she guides you through with adjustments so it is right for your body. It is highly personalized instruction. I would have to say that one would never regret taking a class with Paige, so sign up no matter your level, you will be in a class with one of the most educated, attentive, kind and humorous instructors available”.

    - Lorraine, Gentle Hatha & Fascial Release

Paige’s knowledge of the human body is beyond impressive. Her classes are interactive and motivating. Her transition from in class to online teaching was seamless and she has managed to maintain her personalized touch which each student. Her passion to teach and lead her students towards pain free living is so refreshing. I feel so fortunate to have Paige as my guide on my personal journey.”

    -Arlene, Carry On

“The sequencing of asanas in class is so important! For example, some Pranayamic movements can be challenging to me because they invite a “total being” involvement and sometimes I just don’t have my total being to give. But the gentle lead up to the “big” ones enables me. My attitude facing a movement like “Breath Against Depression” may have been “oh boy, I feel so weak, I think I’ll just live with my depression”, becomes free and easy, “we’re just moving forward here and I can do that!!”.

Online Yoga with Paige is an outstanding experience! The personal attention even while practicing from your own home is exceptional. Paige's understanding of how the body functions and how to respond to your individual needs even in the online format is fantastic”.

    - Bruce, Athletic Yoga

“I've done a lot of yoga over the years in YEG and elsewhere - Paige is a superior yogi. She has a deep knowledge of her craft, of movement and musculature and she can explain it well. She carefully attends to each individual (even in online classes) and coaches and adapts instruction to individual needs (she never forgets my arthritic shoulder or my friend's extra flexible joints). She takes pleasure in students' development and wellness, and helps you work to achieve it - she's picky and pushy in a most cheerful, positive and patient way”.

    -Avery, Athletic Yoga

“I have been doing Yoga with Paige for around 8 years, ever since I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my lower back and looking forward to giving up playing tennis and a painful future.  Looking back i now realize how little I knew about the human body and the importance of core strength and flexibility.  Paige, through Yoga has guided me through every pose with detail, explanation and scrutiny, making sure we all are following her instruction correctly.  Every person is given guidance related to their particular problems.  The atmosphere in her class is light as we enjoy many laughs.  Her constant reminders of  what muscles to use and their importance has allowed me to continue my active life, pain free”.

    -Leslie, Carry On

“ I came to Paige's Gentle Yoga class after coming off major surgery several years ago. Paige was attentive to my limitations, and with her guidance, I was able to regain the strength, mobility, and stamina that I had lost during a long recovery. Her classes are also fun, and, as a senior, I am happily keeping the "rocking chair" at bay with her help”

    - Kathy, Gentle Hatha

Paige is inspirational, caring and very dedicated in her teaching of yoga! I have been attending her classes for over two years and thoroughly enjoy her and her knowledge of yoga and the body!”

-Lynn, Gentle Hatha & Fascial Release

“The classes have helped to develop greater internal strength, balance and harmony. Each class is only an hour and we find ourselves being led to stand taller, stretch more accurately and focus on little things which all contribute to feeling better about yourself. It is a GREAT workout even though you are not running, jumping or lifting weights. I would highly recommend you give it a chance if you are looking for something to get you exercising or introduce a change to your current program”.

    -Curtis, Athletic Yoga

“Paige's refreshing and positive approach to teaching yoga has kept me looking forward to her weekly sessions for +6 years. A consummate student of yoga and emerging approaches to physical health and exercise make her sessions interesting and have provided greater value to my physical well being with every year”.
