Class Schedule
“I've done a lot of yoga over the years in YEG and elsewhere - Paige is a superior yogi. She has a deep knowledge of her craft, of movement and musculature and she can explain it well. She carefully attends to each individual (even in on-line classes) and coaches and adapts instruction to individual needs (she never forgets my arthritic shoulder or my friend's extra flexible joints). She takes pleasure in students' development and wellness, and helps you work to achieve it - she's picky and pushy in a most cheerful, positive and patient way”.

Class Descriptions
Mindful Mobility & Stability
This is a relaxed eclectic strength and Hatha Yoga style class. Yogic exercises and asanas (postures) are practiced to help create greater awareness of the practitioner’s mind, body and breath and their relationship with one another. The focus is on mobility and stability. We practice overall body movements as well as small focused movements for specific muscles. In addition, we seek to gain stability through strengthening movements with the use of a resistance band and or weight (your frying pan). This class is suitable for beginners and those with a well established practice.
MONDAY 1:30-3pm
WEDNESDAY 10:00-11:15am
“ I came to Paige's Gentle Yoga class after coming off major surgery several years ago. Paige was attentive to my limitations, and with her guidance, I was able to regain the strength, mobility, and stamina that I had lost during a long recovery. Her classes are also fun, and, as a senior, I am happily keeping the "rocking chair" at bay with her help”
- Kathy, Gentle Hatha
Gentle Hatha & Fascial Release
This class carries on from the introductory Gentle Hatha. We continue with the yoga principles of cultivating our awareness of our mind, body and breath through yogic exercises and asanas. Yogic mobility and stability exercises and asanas are practiced and held for longer. In addition, we use yoga tune-up therapy balls for fascial release. Fascial release (self massage) is helpful in treating muscle immobility and pain, improving blood, oxygen, and lymphatic circulation. The powerful combination of yoga and self massage assist in creating greater muscle performance and body awareness. This class is suitable for beginners and those with an established practice.
THURSDAY 9:15-10:45am
“Paige is inspirational, caring and very dedicated in her teaching of yoga! I have been attending her classes for over two years and thoroughly enjoy her and her knowledge of yoga and the body!”
-Lynn, Gentle Hatha & Fascial Release
Carry On
This class is on the stronger end of the spectrum compared with other classes offered. It is for experienced practitioners. Students must have a level of awareness, strength and mobility (the ability to hold downward dog to holding plank, in a relaxed manner with breath). Less demonstration and instruction is given to allow students to move deeper into their practice as all students have prior yoga knowledge and experience.

TUESDAY 11:30-12:30
“I have been doing Yoga with Paige for around 8 years, ever since I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my lower back and looking forward to giving up playing tennis and a painful future. Looking back i now realize how little I knew about the human body and the importance of core strength and flexibility. Paige, through Yoga has guided me through every pose with detail, explanation and scrutiny, making sure we all are following her instruction correctly. Every person is given guidance related to their particular problems. The atmosphere in her class is light as we enjoy many laughs. Her constant reminders of what muscles to use and their importance has allowed me to continue my active life, pain free”.
-Leslie, Carry On
Athletic Yoga
Whether you are a professional athlete or a weekend warrior, if you want to move with greater awareness, strength and agility this is the class for you. This program helps expose your weaknesses and strengthen them. We focus on increasing lung capacity, stabilizing the core (spine & pelvis) and mobility of the shoulders and hips. The goal is not flexibility. The goal is to create an equal balance of strength and flexibility with improved recovery time for overall increased athletic performance. This class never gets easier, you get stronger.
WEDNESDAY 6-7am
“The classes have helped to develop greater internal strength, balance and harmony. Each class is only an hour and we find ourselves being led to stand taller, stretch more accurately and focus on little things which all contribute to feeling better about yourself. It is a GREAT workout even though you are not running, jumping or lifting weights. I would highly recommend you give it a chance if you are looking for something to get you exercising or introduce a change to your current program”.

Mobility & Stability Fascial Release
Description:
FRIDAY 9:15-10:45am
Restore and Renew
This class is currently offered once a month. During this time we will seek to de-stress the mind and relax the body. We use Miracle Balls, time and gravity to release tension, align and reshape the body. There is a heavy focus on practicing the art and skill of relaxation. We use breathing techniques to stimulate the natural healing ability of our parasympathetic nervous system. This class it is more about un-doing and learning how to down regulate the body to induce a sense of restoration and renewal. You will be required to have a set of Miracle Balls. These can be purchased through Indigo/Chapters, Amazon and sometimes Costco.
WEDNESDAY 7-8:15pm
